The philosophy of HealthSource is that all holistic healing practices are grounded in spiritual development.  Services listed below are specifically focused on assisting that development through physical touch, with a resulting response of relaxation and an improved sense of well-being.


Acupressure:
Finger pressure is applied to specific points along the body. Stimulates the release of tension, helps restore a balanced energy flow. Includes specialized techniques such as Shiatsu massage and Jin Shin acupressure.

Acupuncture:
sterile hair-thin needles are inserted under the skin at points along the body's meridians where the movement of energy is excessive, stagnant or deficient.

Aromatherapy:
distilled aromatic botanical essentail oils are used in massage, bath,compresses and inhalations. Eases symptoms of stress discomfort by absorption of the special properties in the essential oils.

Bach Flower Remedies:
drops of the vibrational essence of specific plants preserved in brandy and spring water are taken internally. Aids in mental/emotional stress management.

Cranio-sacral Therapy:
gentle manipulation of the skull. Encourages the natural flow of the cerebro-spinal fluid.

Chiropractic Therapy:
therapeutic adjustment of the spinal system. Eases physical discomfort of structural misalignment.

Ear Candling:
a relaxing, non-invasive method of removing wax, dust and debris from the inner ear canal using hollow tapered beeswax and linen cones which are placed against the ear opening and allowed to burn down.

Homeopathy:
a system of medicine that uses the principle of "likes be cured with like", using natural substances in liquid, tablet or salves. Often used in conjunction with a nutritional maintenance program to help detoxify the body and relieve disease symptoms.

Iridology:
a diagnositic reading of the markings in the iris and surrounding areas of the eye.

Live Blood Analysis:
microscopic examination and evaluation of blood cells to detect adverse nutritional conditions that can be brought into cellular balance through a nutritional maintenance program.

Massage (Registered Massage Therapy):
clinical assessment and treatment by manipulation of the soft tissue and joints of the body.

Moxibustion:
the application of the warmth from specially burned herbs to points along the body's meridians to encourage a normalized energy flow.

Polarity Therapy:
the balancing of the body's energy currents using gentle hands-on manipulation, exercise and promotion of positive thought patterns.

Reiki:
a spiritual healing techinique involving gentle non-invasive touch which aids in connecting with the Universal Life Force.

Reflexology:
the application of stimulating pressure to the bottom of the feet at specific points that correspond to glands and organs in the body.

Structural Integration:
a ten-session hands-on manipulation of the connective tissue system of the body to achieve long-lasting physical, emotional and spiritual balance.

Tai Chi:
a gentle spiritual exercise technique consisting of a series of postures performed in slow, controlled sequence.

Therapeutic Touch:
an intuitive healing technique where the practitioner's hands pass over the client, sensing and smoothing the bioenergetic field around the body.

Trager ® Therapy:
gentle, non-intrusive massage/movement that facilities relaxation, flexibility, and emotional and mental clarity.  The client is also taught simple meditative movements through which the process of change continues independently.

Yoga:
a system of exercises combining various postures, deep breathing and meditation.
